NATURE & THE TRAVELING PORTRAITIST:
LIGHT OF THE WEST INDIES

Hosted by Randy Kerr
Presented by:Westcott, Sekonic, and Light Journal

Join light lecture artist Randy Kerr for an in-depth discussion about light quality and image capture from a volcanic black sand beach. Kerr will step you through his systematic location scouting process coined the “Compass Code.” A ten step process shaped to engage camera artists with both technical and artistic elements of an image. Program opens with a discussion centered around universal truths for both photo nature walks and how to relate to local villagers while on global travel. Randy will also convey his approach to off camera flash and constant light while on professional travel assignments. Subjects will include the villagers of River Cirque and Grand Fond, expansive landscapes, waterscapes and the endangered leatherback sea turtles of the Caribbean
